As organisers of the Cycling World Cup and the WMCF Cycling World Championships for Masters, we have long hoped that we would be able to hold our cycling races in St. Johann in the way that has proved so successful over 51 years.
Unfortunately, we have to realise that this will not be possible. On the one hand, because the planning security for road races is not given and on the other hand, because the freedom of travel of many participants will not be restored until August.
We have participants from 58 nations, some of whom will not be allowed to leave their countries until 2022 at the earliest, and people from all countries should be able to take part in a world championship.
Nevertheless, we do not want to give up completely. We would like to offer two individual time trials for all those who have the opportunity to travel to St. Johann.
On Friday 27.08.2021 the airport sprint will take place and on the following day, Saturday 28.08.2021 the individual time trial on the world championship course.
At these races we will be able to comply with all hygiene and distance regulations. Both races will have classes for road bikes and time trial bikes.
The exact regulations will follow shortly. The races are open to licensed and unlicensed cyclists.
We hope to see many of you again in St. Johann in August.
Already registered participants who have already paid their entry fee will get their money back if they do not want to ride the time trials.
With warm cycling greetings
